NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DESIGNATION OF EXPANDED GRIMES URBAN RENEWAL AREA AND ON PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT
Notice Is Hereby Given: That at 5:30 p.m., at the Grimes Community Complex, 410 SE Main Street, Grimes, Iowa, on October 28, 2025, the City Council of the City of Grimes, Iowa (the "City") will hold a public hearing on the question of amending the urban renewal plan (the "Plan") for the Grimes Urban Renewal Area and designating an expanded Grimes Urban Renewal Area (the "Urban Renewal Area"), pursuant to Chapter 403, Code of Iowa, by adding and including all the property described as follows: THAT PART OF LOT 26, TAYLOR ESTATES PLAT NO 5, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, LYING WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND THAT PART OF LOTS 19, 20 AND 21, TAYLOR ESTATES PLAT NO 6, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, LYING WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND THAT PART OF OUTLOT "Y", TAYLOR ESTATES PLAT 9, AN OFFICIAL PLAT, LYING WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND THAT PART OF BEAVERBROOKE POINTE PLAT 3, AN OFFICIAL PLAT LYING WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND THAT PART OF LOT 21, BEAVERBROOKE POINTE PLAT 1, AN OFFICIAL PLAT LYING WITHIN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND THE SOUTH HALF OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 80, RANGE 25 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., BEING IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA. AND BRENTWOOD ESTATES, AN OFFICIAL PLAT IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA, EXCEPT THAT PART LYING SOUTHEASTERLY OF THE CENTERLINE OF NE 27TH STREET. The proposed amendment to the Plan brings the property described above into the Urban Renewal Area and makes it subject to the provisions of the Plan. A copy of the amendment is on file for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk.
