NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSAL TO DISPOSE OF AN EASEMENT INTEREST IN PUBLIC PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF GRIMES AND CONVEY SAID EASEMENT TO ADJOINING PROPERTY OWNER
You are hereby notified that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the City Council of the City of Grimes, Iowa, on April 14, 2026 at 5:30 p.m., in the Grimes Community Complex, 410 SE Main Street, Room 202 Grimes, IA 50111, on a proposal to dispose of, grant, and convey a permanent off-site private storm sewer easement subject to existing easements over a portion of City-owned property located in Outlot 'X', in Heritage at Grimes Plat 2, an Official Plat now included in and forming a part of the City of Grimes, Polk County, Iowa, legally described as follows: A PART OF OUTLOT 'X', HERITAGE AT GRIMES PLAT 2, AN OFFICIAL PLAT IN THE CITY OF GRIMES, POLK COUNTY, IOWA, BEING A 10.00-FOOT-WIDE EASEMENT 5.00 FEET BOTH SIDES OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED CENTERLINE: COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 2, HERITAGE AT GRIMES PLAT 8, AN OFFICIAL PLAT; THENCE NORTH 06°24'20" EAST ALONG THE EASTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 2, A DISTANCE OF 43.36 FEET; THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG SAID EASTERLY LINE AND A CURVE CONCAVE WESTERLY WHOSE RADIUS IS 350.00 FEET, WHOSE ARC LENGTH IS 48.94 FEET AND WHOSE CHORD BEARS NORTH 02°28'29" EAST, 48.90 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE NORTH 83°56'48" EAST, 7.94 FEET TO THE POINT OF TERMINUS AND CONTAINING 80 SQUARE FEET. And dispose of the same by conveying to the adjoining property owner(s), KTJ 439, LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company, for the sum of $10.
