
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE NORTH SPARTANBURG FIRE DISTRICT, SOUTH CAROLINA
The Board of the North Spartanburg Fire District, the governing body of the North Spartanburg Fire District will hold a public hearing regarding the adoption of its fiscal year 2026-2027 budget. The public hearing will be held in order to comply with the requirements of Section 6-1-80 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended. This notice is given in lieu of the requirements of Section 4-9-130 as Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended.
Accordingly, notice is hereby given that the Public Hearing will be held by the Board at the North Spartanburg Fire District Headquarters Station located at 8767 Asheville Highway Spartanburg, SC 29316 on June 18, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. The budgeted revenues from ad valorem property taxes (excluding fee-in-lieu-of- tax payments), estimated actual revenues (including ad valorem property taxes and fee-in-lieu-of-tax payments), and budgeted and estimated actual expenditues for the 2025-2026 fiscal year and the proposed revenues from ad valorem property taxes (excluding fee-in-lieu-of- tax payments) and expenditures of the 2026-2027 fiscal year budget are as follows:

The total millage of the District necessary to fund the District's fiscal year 2025-2026 budget was 31 mills. The total Millage necessary to fund the proposed budget of the District for fiscal year 2026-2027 is 31 mills. This millage is expected to generate additional revenue for the District, which along with other anticipated revenues, including fee-in-lieu-of-tax payments, is expected to be sufficient to fund the proposed budget of the District for fiscal year 2026-2027.
The Public Hearing shall be conducted publicly, and both proponents and opponents of the proposed action shall be given full opportunity to be heard in person or by counsel.
