NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Offical Notice No. 7409 Prior to petitioning the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for State and Federal airport aid for projects at General Mitchell International Airport and Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport, as required under Wisconsin Statutes 114.33(2), notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by Milwaukee County Department of Transportation on July 22, 2026, at 1:00PM. The meeting will be held at the Lovell Conference Room in the Terminal Building of Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, 5300 South Howell Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53207. This public hearing is for the sole purpose of seeking State and Federal aid for the below listed project(s). These projects have already been approved to commence and be completed by Milwaukee County. The projects to be the subject of this hearing are as follows: At General Mitchell International Airport 1) Vehicle Movement Area Transponders Project 2) Concourse C Airport Accessibility Project All persons are invited to attend and present their views on proposed improvements. Preliminary project scope descriptions will be available for public viewing in the Airport Planning Office, Room A240, of the Terminal building at General Mitchell International Airport or at https://www.mitchellairport.com/airport-information/airport-projects. For general information concerning these projects, you may call (414) 747-6234. Additional written statements or testimony will be accepted if received before August 1, 2026. Such testimony or statement should be directed to the Airport Planning Manager, General Mitchell International Airport, 5300 South Howell Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207.
