NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RAWLS SPRINGS UTILITY DISTRICT
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
WATER POLLUTION CONTROL REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROJECT
The Rawls Springs Utility District will hold a public hearing to accept comments from District residents and the general public concerning the proposed improvements. The advertisement, public hearing sign in sheet, and minutes from the public hearing are included on the following pages.
Rawls Springs Utility District is considering wastewater treatment and collection system improvements including: (1) Rehabilitation a portion of the existing sewer main, located in Section 22, T-5-N, R-14-W, Forrest County (2) Rehabilitation of all three lagoons to include but not limited to: erosion protection work, replacement of baffles, replacement of chlorination equipment, replacement of electrical and control components in Section 22, T-5-N, R-14-W, Forrest County (3) Eliminating the discharge point for the North Haven Lagoon in Section 22, T-5-N, R-14-W, Forrest County (4) Improvements to be made to manholes/lift stations within the franchise limits. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the details of this project and to request any comments concerning the proposed improvements. This public hearing will be held at the Rawls Springs Utility District Office located at 74 Rawls Springs Rd, Hattiesburg, MS 39402 on June 23, 2026, @ 10:00 AM. Any person interested in commenting on this project is invited to attend this hearing. The Facilities Plan for this project can be reviewed at the Clearpoint Engineers office during normal business hours. Comments concerning the Facilities Plan can be submitted prior to the public hearing in writing by mail to:
