NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ADOPTION OF PROPOSED ANNUAL CHARGES PURSUANT TO WATER CODE SECTIONS 75470.5 ET SEQ.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Central San Joaquin Water Conservation District ("District") will conduct a public hearing regarding the fixing and collection of annual charges for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, pursuant to Water Code section 75470.5 et seq.
The public hearing will be held on June 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the Central San Joaquin Water Conservation District's Office, located at 1900 McHenry Avenue, Suite 305, Escalon, CA 95320.
At the public hearing, the Board of Directors will consider adoption of a resolution establishing annual charges on taxable land within the District to meet the estimated expenses and obligations of the District, including reserves for contingencies for the fiscal year 2026-2027. The proposed charges shall consist of a uniform per-acre charge on taxable land within the District pursuant to Water Code sections 75470.5 and 75471.
The proposed annual charges consist of a TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($2.50) per-acre of taxable land within the District. The proposed charges are intended to fund the District's authorized operations, maintenance, administration, and other lawful District purposes for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
Any interested person may appear at the hearing and be heard regarding the proposed annual charges. Written comments may also be submitted to the District prior to or at the hearing. Written comments should be sent to the District Office located at 1900 McHenry Avenue, Suite 305, Escalon, CA 95320.
Following the public hearing, the Board may adopt, revise, modify, or reject the proposed annual charges.
