NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO PARCELS FOR INCLUSION IN CERTIFIED AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS 3 AND 6 DURING THE ANNUAL THIRTY-DAY REVIEW PERIOD

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO PARCELS FOR INCLUSION IN CERTIFIED AGRICULTURAL DISTRICTS 3 AND 6 DURING THE ANNUAL THIRTY-DAY REVIEW PERIOD NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Hearing will be held by the County Legislature of the County of Steuben at the Legislative Chambers, 20 East Morris Street, in the Village of Bath, New York, on the 18th day of May, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. relative to land submitted for inclusion in certified Agricultural Districts 3 and 6 during the 2026 annual thirty-day review period, to consider the recommendations of the Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, and proposed modifications of said agricultural districts. The Legislative Chambers is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact the Clerk of the Legislature's Office at 607-664-2247 at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Any written comments may be sent to Marie Myers Shearing, Planning Director, Steuben County Office Building, 3 East Pulteney Square, Bath, NY 14810, and/or via email at mmyers@steubencountyny.gov which should be received no later than May 22, 2026. A description of the districts with proposed modifications may be examined during business hours at the Steuben County Planning Office, 20 East Morris Street, in the Village of Bath, New York. It is the recommendation of the Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board that the parcels submitted for inclusion in Steuben County certified Agricultural Districts 3 and 6 during the 2026 annual thirty-day period under Article 25AA, Section 303-b of the Agriculture and Markets Law of the State of New York be included in the respective districts.
