NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 6-1-330(A) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended, that the Town Council of the Town of Hampton (the "Town Council"), as the governing body of the Town of Hampton, South Carolina, will conduct a public hearing (the "Public Hearing") concerning the enactment of an ordinance imposing certain registration fees for registration of vacant buildings. The Public Hearing will be held in the Town Council chambers, which are located at 608 First Street West, Hampton, South Carolina on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the agenda permits). The schedule of registration fees to be considered by the Town Council is set forth below. Schedule of Registration Fees *Registration Fee for filing first Registration Statement: $0.00 *Registration Fee for filing second Registration Statement: $100.00 *Registration Fee for filing third Registration Statement: $500.00 *Registration Fee for filing any subsequent Registration Statement: $1,000.00 All fees are subject to annual adjustment for inflation based on the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) as published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics beginning January 1, 2027.
