NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS GIVEN: Bondurant-Farrar Community School District will conduct a public hearing in the Multipurpose Room of the Intermediate Building at 300 Garfield Street SW, Bondurant, IA on Monday, December 8, 2025, 5:00 p.m., local time, whereas said School District will hold a hearing and may resolve to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost of the following improvements:
New Elementary School
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of a new elementary school consisting of a single-story building including classroom spaces, vocational rooms, conference rooms, offices, kitchen/commons, gymnasium (alternate) and support spaces. The new construction is approximately 60,000 square feet.
The scope of work for the New Elementary School Project will be broken out into the following Bid Packages:
Bid Package No. 03-1 – Concrete Foundations, Concrete Slabs, Polished Concrete
Bid Package No. 04-1 – Masonry
Bid Package No. 05-1 – Structural Steel & Precast Concrete
Bid Package No. 06-1 – General Carpentry
Bid Package No. 07-3 – Membrane Roofing, Metal Wall Panels, & Metal Flashing and Trim
Bid Package No. 08-1 – Aluminum Entrance, Storefront, & Glazing
Bid Package No. 09-1 – Gypsum Board Assemblies, Acoustical Ceilings, & Painting
Bid Package No. 09-5 – Resilient Flooring, Carpet, & Ceramic Tile
Bid Package No. 11-1 – Food Service Equipment
Bid Package No. 11-4 – Athletic Flooring & Equipment
Bid Package No. 21-1 – Fire Suppression Systems
Bid Package No. 22-1 – Plumbing & HVAC
Bid Package No. 26-1 – Electrical, Communications, & Safety and Security
Bid Package No. 31-1 – Earthwork, Site Utilities, & Landscaping
Bid Package No. 32-1 – Paving & Sidewalks
At said hearing, the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District Board of Education will consider the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for said project, the same now being on file in the office of the Superintendent, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Board will also receive and consider any comments/objections to said plans, specifications and form of contract or to the estimated cost of said improvements made by any interested party.
