NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 4-9-130 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended, by the County Council of Pickens County (the "County Council") of a public hearing relating to the proposed enactment of an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE NO. 675 ADOPTING A SIX-MONTH-MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE AND PROCESSING OF PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR RV PARKS, CAMPGROUNDS, COMMERCIAL LODGING ESTABLISHMENTS, SOLAR FARMS, AND, WITHIN THE HIGHWAY 8 CORRIDOR, MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS CONSISTING OF THREE (3) OR MORE AND MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS (INCLUDING TOWNHOMES, CONDOMINIUMS, APARTMENTS, DUPLEXES, AND TRIPLEXES)." Subject to the normal rules of County Council regarding appearances, members of the public are invited to attend and make comment concerning the above referenced ordinance. The public hearing will be held in the Main Conference Room, which is located at Pickens County Administration Facility, 222 McDaniel Avenue, Pickens, South Carolina 29671, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026.
