NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Pleasant Hill will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd day of February 2026, in the City Council Chambers, 5160 Maple Drive, Pleasant Hill, Iowa, concerning a rezoning request from A-1 Agricultural/Open Space District to R-2 Single Family Attached Residential District for real property generally located in the 7000 block of SE 6th Avenue in the City of Pleasant Hill, County of Polk, State of Iowa, and legally described as follows:
Lot One (1) in FIBERGLASS ACRES PLAT 2, an Official Plat in Polk County, Iowa except that part described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 3, Fiberglass Acres Plat 2; thence N 02°12'33" W 18.05 feet along the West Right-of-Way line of said SE 72nd Street as presently established to the SE corner of Lot 4 Fiberglass Acres Plat 2; thence North 88°30'56" W 613.94 feet along the south line of said Lot 4 to the SW corner of said Lot 4; Thence S 01°35'43" E, 370.87 feet; thence S 88°19'15" E 307.76 feet to the SW corner of Lot 2 Fiberglass Acres Plat 2; thence N 02°25'15" W 50 feet to the NW corner of said Lot 2; thence N 01°21'56" W 305.00 feet along the West line of Lot 3 to the NW corner of said Lot 3; thence S 88°25'44" E, 245.00 feet along the North line of said Lot 3 to the point of beginning. Containing 3.169 acres of land and subject to all easements of record.
Comments from citizens will be heard at the hearing. Written comments must be submitted to the Community Development Department no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026.
