NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS GIVEN: Bondurant-Farrar Community School District, 300 Garfield Street SW, Bondurant, IA 50035, on April 27, 2026, 5:00 p.m., local time, whereas said School District will hold a hearing and may resolve to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost of the following improvements: Parking and Bus Route Project Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Base Bid: The BFCSD Parking and Bus Route project consists of reconstructing the existing bus route to provide additional on-site parking while shifting bus pickup/dropoff to the east side of the Junior High School. A new entrance gate and fencing for the stadium is shown along with a new sidewalk connection from the parking lots to the west. The existing entry to the gravel parking lot will be shifted to the east to align with the new entry drive to the baseball/softball parking lot. Construction to include, but is not limited to… Demolition (parking and sidewalks, gravel paving, site lighting, site utilities, signage, chainlink fencing, painted lines, trees); installation of 7" thick PCC paving & curbs (1,605 SY); 5" thick PCC walkways (1,780 SY); 6' tall chain link fencing with mow strip (175 LF); 6" HDPE Subdrain (434LF); 24" FES Structure; 24" DIA. RCP Storm Sewer (50LF); Grading + strip and respread; Erosion control; Site lighting; Lawn seed (67,000 SF); 17 tree plantings; Signage; Painted pavement markings; and related work as detailed in the construction documents. Add Alternate #1: North Entrance Stadium Ticket Structure – The lump sum pricing for all items associated with installation of the Ticket Structure and Decorative Fencing & Gates as shown in the drawings and specifications. Add Alternate #2: Site Concrete Removal and Replacement – Contractor to provide a lump sum price to remove, legally dispose, and replace 1 square yard of 7" thick P.C.C Paving. The scope of work for the BFCSD Parking and Bus Route Project will be broken out into the following Bid Packages: Bid Package No. 1 <Parking and Bus Route> At said hearing, the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District Board of Education will consider the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for said project, the same now being on file in the office of the Superintendent, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Board will also receive and consider any comments/objections to said plans, specifications and form of contract or to the estimated cost of said improvements made by any interested party.
