
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Executive Director of Knoxville's Community Development Corporation ("KCDC"), acting on behalf of the City of Knoxville and City Council, will hold a Public Hearing on the North Waterfront Redevelopment Plan as authorized under the Housing Authorities Law, Title 13, Chapter 20, of the Tennessee Code Annotated, as amended. Said Public Hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 in the KCDC Board Room, 901 N. Broadway, Knoxville, Tennessee. The purpose of the hearing is to determine the necessity for the North Waterfront Redevelopment Plan and the use of tax increment financing in connection with the redevelopment of the area subject to the plan. A map of the area that is subject to the plan and information regarding the potential use of tax increment financing, including an estimate of the cost of the redevelopment project, the sources of revenue to finance the costs of the redevelopment project, the estimated tax increment, an estimate of the amount and final maturity relating to the tax increment indebtedness to be incurred, and an estimate of the impact of the tax increment financing provision upon the City of Knoxville and Knox County, may be viewed, as part of the proposed plan, by the public at the offices of Knoxville's Community Development Corporation at 901 N. Broadway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917 or at the Urban Design and Development Office of the City of Knoxville at 400 Main Street, Room 655, Knoxville, Tennessee 37902, on or after July 15, 2026. A draft of the proposed plan will also be available on Knoxville's Community Development Corporation's website at www.kcdc.org. Any person desiring to comment on the amendment to the plan will be afforded the opportunity to do so at the public hearing.
