NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING SW 19TH STREET WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN EXTENSION CITY OF GRIMES, IOWA PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Public Hearing on Proposed Contract Documents and Estimated Costs for Improvement Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City of Grimes, Iowa on the proposed Contract Documents (plans, specifications, and form of contract), and estimated total cost for the SW 19th Street Water Transmission Main Extension project at its meeting at 5:30 P.M. on the 24th day of March, 2026, in the City Council Chambers, Grimes Community Complex, 410 SE Main Street #202, Grimes, Iowa, 50111. General Nature of the Public Improvement SW 19th STREET WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN EXTENSION The SW 19th Street Water Transmission Main Extension project includes utility improvements along SW 19th Street from SW County Line Road to approximately 1,700 feet east of SW Jazzwood Drive. The improvements include construction of approximately 2,690 LF of 24-inch water main, 780 LF of 12-inch water main, and 74 LF of 8-inch water main, traffic control, erosion control, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
