NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 282 TAKE NOTICE that the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:15 p.m., for the purpose of enacting proposed Ordinance No. 282, which Ordinance will amend Chapter 160 Zoning by adding new provisions for exterior lighting. The hearing will be convened during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, which starts at 6:00 p.m., at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Paradise Valley, PA. After the hearing and during the continuance of the regular meeting, the Board will consider, if in order, the passage of Ordinance No. 282 as well as other business coming before the Board at that time. In lieu of the full text of the proposed Ordinance No. 282, the following summary is provided: ORDINANCE NO. 282 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PARADISE, MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 160, ZONING, §160-17 EXTERIOR LIGHTING BY: 1) DELETING EXISTING §160-17 AND REPLACING IT IN ITS ENTIRETY WITH NEW §160-17 WHICH RESTATES PREVIOUS REQUIREMENTS OF §160-17 AND INCLUDES A NEW PROVISION REQUIRING FULLY SHIELDED OR FULL CUTOFF LIGHTING FIXTURES FOR COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AND INSTITUTIONAL USES; AND 2) ADDING PROVISIONS FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEALER, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The Ordinance can be reviewed at the Monroe County Law Library, the Pocono Record, and Paradise Township. Copies of the full text of the proposed Ordinance revisions can be purchased at the Paradise Township Municipal Building for the actual cost of reproduction during regular business hours.
