NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO ENACT PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 288
TAKE NOTICE that the Paradise Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:45 p.m., for the purpose of enacting proposed Ordinance No. 288, which Ordinance will amend Chapter 160 Zoning by adding new provisions for nuisance vibration. The hearing will be convened during the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors, which starts at 6:00 p.m., at the Paradise Township Municipal Building, 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Paradise Valley, PA. After the hearing and during the continuance of the regular meeting, the Board will consider, if in order, the passage of Ordinance No. 288 as well as other business coming before the Board at that time. In lieu of the full text of the proposed Ordinance No. 288, the following summary is provided:
ORDINANCE NO. 288
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PARADISE, MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 160, ZONING BY DELETING EXISTING §160-19.E VIBRATION IN ITS ENTIRETY AND REPLACING IT WITH NEW §160-19.E VIBRATION WHICH CONTAINS PROVISIONS FOR: 1) ESTABLISHES TESTING PARAMETERS AND ADOPTS ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR GENERAL INDUSTRIAL USES; 2) VIBRATION LEVELS AT SPECIFIC TIMES; 3) REQUIRING VIBRATION STUDIES PRELIMINARILY, INTERIM, AND AFTER AS-BUILT PHASES OF A PROJECT; 4) ESTABLISHING PARAMETERS FOR VIBRATION LEVEL TESTING INCLUDING REQUIRED TESTING AND CONTINUED COMPLIANCE; AND 5) ADDING PROVISIONS FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEALER, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
