NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF HAMILTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law, Town Law and General Municipal Law, there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Hamilton, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on February 12, 2026, proposed Local Law No. A-2026, titled "A Local Law to Prevent and Control Excessive or Unreasonable Noise in the Town of Hamilton," which Local Law would establish regulations so that it shall be unlawful for any person to make, continue, cause to be made, or permit to be made any excessive or unreasonable noise within the geographical boundaries of the Town of Hamilton. The full text of said proposed Local Law is on file at the Town Clerk's Office at the Town Offices located at 38 Milford Street in the Town of Hamilton for inspection by all interested persons, and available online at www.townofhamiltonny.gov.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on February 12, 2026, the Town Board declared itself lead agency and determined that this proposed Local Law is an Unlisted Action and determined that the action will have no significant adverse impact on the environment for purposes of the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
NOTICE IF FURTHER GIVEN that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law at the Town Hall located at 38 Milford Street in the Town of Hamilton on March 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at which time all persons interested will be heard. The public may mail or electronically submit comments on the proposed Local Law No. A-2026 to the Town Clerk at townclerk@townofhamiltonny.gov by noon on March 12, 2026.
