NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWNSHIP OF MORRIS ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of the Township of Morris Zoning Board of Adjustment will be held on December 8th, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. in person and viewable via Zoom in the Municipal Building, 50 Woodland Avenue, Township of Morris, New Jersey, at which meeting the application of Axel and Jacquelyn Oehlers for permission to rebuild and expand the existing garage and add a second story living space is scheduled to be heard.
Said property is known as Block 8402 Lot 1, on the Official Tax Map of the Township of Morris, and is located at the following street address:
10 Barberry Road.
The Board of Adjustment is being asked to grant the following variances from the provisions of the Municipal Land Use Law and/or Township Ordinances:
Ordinance Section: 95-28 Area, Bulk & Yard Requirements & 95-29A (2) Lot Regulations
Specific variance relief being sought:
1. Applicant proposed to rebuild the existing garage and construction of a 2nd story addition on said garage creating a front yard setback on Old Turnpike Road of 24 feet, where 50 feet is required.
2. A variance for the existing front porch facing Barberry Road that has an existing substandard setback of 26 feet, where 50 feet is required.
3. The applicant will also seek a variance for the expansion of a pre-existing, non-conforming structure.
The applicant will also seek any additional variances and/or waivers which may be deemed necessary at the time of the hearing.
