NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 2 The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026 at the Council Chamber in City Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At said hearing, any interested person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the UNIVERSITY AVENUE AREA IMPROVEMENTS – PHASE 2, generally described as follows: Construction of South Warrior Lane roadway improvements between Broderick Drive and Park Road; and University Avenue roadway improvements from South Warrior Lane west 1,000 feet. The construction consists of approximately 15,600 square yards of PCC pavement, 500 square yards of HMA pavement, 3,800 linear feet of water main, 4,200 linear feet of storm sewer, earthwork, subgrade preparation, box culvert, pedestrian underpass, manholes, intakes, sidewalk and shared use path paving, surface restoration, landscape plantings, and other associated work.
