VOORHEES TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Voorhees Township Planning Board (the "Planning Board") will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. (preceded by a caucus at 6:45 p.m.) in the Municipal Building, 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey, to consider the application of Voorhees Solar Holdings, LLC (the "Applicant") with respect to the real property located at 300 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees Township and designated as Block 206, Lot 4 (the "Property") on the official tax maps of the Township of Voorhees.
The Property is an approximately 35.76-acre parcel that is owned by the Township of Voorhees and previously used as a landfill. The Applicant is seeking preliminary and final site plan approval with variance relief and design waivers (the "Application") to permit the installation, operation and use of a community-scale solar ground mount, solar energy system (the "Solar Energy System") on an approximately 13.50-acre portion of the Property. The Applicant is seeking bulk variance relief to permit the following: (i) an eight (8) ft. perimeter fence, where §150.14(B)(1)(A) of the City Code permits a maximum fence of six (6) ft.; and (ii) a maximum height for the Solar Energy System of eight (8) ft., where §150.17(C)(2)(d) of the City Code permits a maximum height of six (6) ft. The Applicant is also seeking design waivers from compliance with §150.006(A)(8) of the City Code, which requires every 100 linear ft. of buffer to contain a minimum of 18 evergreen trees, 40 shrubs, 3 ornamental trees, 2 shade trees, a 6 ft. berm, and a 6 ft. fence.
The Applicant also seeks certain waivers and any additional exceptions, waivers, design waivers, variances, interpretations, de minimis exceptions, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting nonconforming conditions, and other approvals reflected on the filed plans (as same may be amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the Application by the Planning Board and its professional staff.
Any interested party may attend on the above date and location in person or by attorney and be heard with reference to the Application. A copy of the Application, including any maps, plans and documents relating thereto, will be on file at least ten (10) days prior to the hearing and available for public inspection during normal business hours in the Voorhees Township Planning Department, 2400 Voorhees Town Center, Voorhees, New Jersey.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Planning Board may, at its discretion, adjourn, postpone, or continue said hearings from time to time and you are hereby notified that you should make diligent inquiry of the Planning Board's office concerning adjournments, postponements, or continuations.
