NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that at the Colonial Heights City Council meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the City Council shall hold public hearings to accept comments on the following:
AN ORDINANCE NO. 26-FIN-3
To amend the General Fund Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, by appropriating $38,299 in proceeds from the sale of property to Miscellaneous and to Public Safety.
The General Fund is also amended by transferring $3,449,950 from Miscellaneous, within the General Fund, to Debt & Transfers Out, also within the General Fund.
To Establish a Commercial Property Fund by appropriating $54,152 in rental fees to Charges for Current Services and to Operating Expenditures.
The Commercial Property Fund is also amended by appropriating $3,449,950 from the General Fund's Debt & Transfers Out to Commercial Property Fund's Non-Operating Revenue, with $3,300,000 of that amount appropriated to Fixed Charges for the purchase of a commercial property, and $149,950 of that amount appropriated to Operating Expenditures within the Commercial Property Fund.
AN ORDINANCE NO. 26-6
Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Real Estate Purchase Agreement on behalf of the City and any other documents required for the acquisition of commercial property located at 1500 Boulevard from Colonial Heights Development Corporation.
Copies of the proposed ordinances are on file for public examination during regular business hours in the City Clerk's Office in City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia; on the City's website www.colonialheightsva.gov; or may be received by calling the City Clerk at 804-520-9360. All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearings of the City Council, to be held at the time and place stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.
