NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Public Hearings will be held by the Ventura Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) for the following matters: Municipal service review for Oxnard Drainage District No. 1 (ODD 1)Review/update of the sphere of influence boundaries for ODD 1 Project Description: The project involves: (1) the Commission's acceptance of municipal service review prepared for ODD 1, and/or (2) the review and/or update of the sphere of influence boundaries for ODD 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 56425(g), the Commission must, as necessary, but not less frequently than every five years, review and update the sphere of influence of each city and special district. A sphere of influence is defined in Government Code § 56076 as the probable physical boundary and service area of a local agency, as determined by the Commission. LAFCo is required to conduct municipal service reviews, which include written determinations, prior to or in conjunction with sphere of influence updates (Government Code § 56430). Purpose of the Public Hearings: The Commission will hold public hearings and may take action with respect to the acceptance of the municipal service review for ODD 1 and/or the review/update of the sphere of influence boundaries for ODD 1. All interested persons are invited to attend, be heard, and participate in the public hearings. At the public hearings, LAFCo will consider written and oral comments that have been submitted regarding the subject matters.
