NOTICE OF RCRA POST-CLOSURE PERMIT CLASS 3 PERMIT MODIFICATION LION COPOLYMER GEISMAR, LLC Lion Copolymer Geismar Facility (Lion) located at 36191 Highway 30, Geismar, Ascension Parish, Louisiana is notifying you of Class 3 Permit Modification to Hazardous Waste Post Closure Permit No. LAD 008194060-PC-RN-2. Pursuant to LAC 33:V.321.C.2.e, a 60-day public comment period will begin on October 13, 2025. During the public comment period, questions and comments can be communicated to the contacts listed below. Written comments, written requests for a public hearing, or written requests for notification of the final decision regarding this permit action may be submitted to Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Office of Environmental Services, at the Wast Permit Division, PO Box 4313, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-4313. Comments must be received by December 12, 2025. Per LAC 33:V.321.C.2.d, a public meeting will be held on October 28, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Richard Brown Community Center at 12060 Highway 73, Geismar, LA 70734. As required by LDEQ regulations, this notice is being mailed to all parties who have requested that they be notified of hazardous waste-related activities at Lion Geismar Facility and is on the LDEQ facility mailing list maintained and provided by LDEQ. A copy of the Permit Modification request is available for review and copying at the LDEQ Public Records Center located at 602 North 5th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. All correspondence should specify AI Number 1433, Permit No. LAD 008194060-PC-RN-2. Additionally, a copy of the proposed modification can be viewed at the Ascension Parish Library located at 708 S Irma Blvd, Gonzales, LA 70737.
