NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FOR AN INDIVIDUAL ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCE PERMIT BY THE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that the Southwest Florida Water Management District has received Environmental Resource Permit Application Number 916583 from Polk County. Application received: April 29, 2025. Proposed Activity: Polk County proposes a section of the existing 2-lane rural Holly Hill Road and the construction of a new alignment to interconnect Florida Development Road. The proposed alignment includes safety-related shoulder widening on a short segment of Florida Development Road. Florida Development Road will follow its existing alignment while improving connectivity to the proposed roadway alignment at the intersection with Holly Hill Road. Other improvements include milling, resurfacing, and construction of sidewalk gaps and associated Stormwater Management Systems. Project Name: Holly Hill Road/Florida Development Road. Project Size: 14.48 acres. Location: Holly Hill is in the northeastern portion of Polk County, Florida on the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Gum Lake Quadrangle Map in Sections 8 and 5, Township 27 South, Range 27 East, and Sections 32, 29, 20 and 17 Township 26 South, Range 27 East. The Holly Hill Road project limits extend from south of Almansa Street and Holly Hill Road to the intersection of Florida Development Road and US 27. The total length of the project is approximately 1.05 miles.
