NOTICE OF RULE DEVELOPMENT BY THE SCHOOL BOARD OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA The School Board of Okaloosa County, Florida, pursuant to the provisions of §120.54, Florida Statutes, hereby gives notice that it is developing a new School Board policy which will amend the current policy 01-21, the title of which is: Wellness Policy. The proposed amendments to the policy update and include Federal school nutrition standards regarding the HHFKA Hunger Free Kids Act 5P-2.002; 7 CFR 210 and School Nutrition Program Procurement rules SS 5P-2.003 Section 204. The purpose and effect of the proposed amendments to the policy is to make updates and include new laws and rules that have been implemented and adopted in 2026.The specific legal authority for the proposed policy is §1001.41, Florida Statutes.
