A Petition for Termination of Parental Rights Action Has Been Commenced:
Please take notice that a Petition for Termination of Parental Rights has been filed in Moore County, North Carolina, in the Juvenile Division of the Civil District, captioned In Re: Woodert, Bianca DeRosa v. Jonathan Christian Woodert, Moore County File No. 25JT000027-620. The purpose of this hearing and the nature of the relief being sought is as follows: The Termination of Parental Rights of Jonathan Christian Woodert with respect to Giovanni Christian Woodert.
A written answer or defense to the petition must be filed within 40 days from the date this notice was first published, July 5, 2026. If you do not file a written answer to the attached petition with the Clerk of Superior Court in Moore County within 40 days of July 5, 2026, the Petitioner will apply for the Court to terminate your parental rights, and your parental rights may be terminated. A copy of the answer must also be served on the petitioner or her lawyer at the address below. Notice of the date, time and location of any pretrial hearing and the hearing on the petition to terminate your parental rights will be mailed to you by the petitioner after you file an answer. If you do not file an answer, contact the Deputy Clerk of the Juvenile Court at (910) 722-5000 to provide an address where a Notice of Hearing can be mailed to you 40 days after the date of service.
If you are indigent, you are entitled to court appointed counsel. Lindsey G. Smith has been temporarily appointed to represent you as provisional counsel. At the first hearing, the Court will determine whether you qualify for a court-appointed lawyer. If you do not appear at that hearing or do not qualify for court a court-appointed lawyer, the lawyer named above will be released. You are entitled to attend any hearing affecting your parental rights.
