COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
Wednesday, November 12, 2025
Called to order at 7:30 PM. Present: Supervisor Abbey, Clerk Brelinski, Treasurer DiStefano, Trustee Reints, and Trustee MacKenzie.
Approved on the Consent Agenda: Meeting minutes from October 9, 2025; Treasurer's Reports for August 2025; Clerk's Reports for October 2025; Payroll totaling $23,459.68; Accounts Payable totaling $340,260.86; Marine City Area Fire Authority emergency runs for October 2025, Ira Township Fire Services Emergency runs for 3rd Quarter 2025, and 2025 Millage Rate Table.
Public Comment: None. Special Guests: UHY, LLC, Presentation of the Audit Report for 2024-2025.
Approved Business Items: Payment to Anderson, Eckstein, & Westrick, Inc. in the amount of $2,600.00 for Engineering Plans for 2nd driveway for Short Cut Rd Park. Water department purchase of water meter couplings, qty 50, not to exceed the total cost of $1500.00. Payment of the St Clair County Drains At Large invoice for 2025 in the amount of $36,073.44. Payment to Kirk, Huth, Lange & Badalamenti, plc. In the amount of $900.15. Approval to set the public hearing for the Parks & Recreation Master Plan to be held during the regularly scheduled township board meeting on December 10, 2025. Attendance of clerk and deputy clerk at the quarterly clerk's association of St Clair County meeting on December 11, 2025 for the cost of $34.00 per person plus mileage. Tim's lawn service to perform snow removal for the township for the winter 2025 season. The proposed and amended 2026 Cottrellville township office calendar. Payment to Filipek & Company, CPAS for services rendered august 2025, in the amount of $507.60. Approval to begin negotiations with Shangri-La regarding water services contract. Motion to not renew the Ira Fire Services agreement at its conclusion. Payment of the renewal of assessor barb Shutt's STC certifications, in the amount of $175. Approval to begin negotiations with Tri-Hospital EMS regarding Tri-Hospital Emergency Medical Services building use contract.
Announcements: Office is closed on November 26-27 in observance of Thanksgiving. Special Meeting re: AJ's Salt Docks, Thursday, December 4, 2025. Special Meeting re: payment of invoice for Short Cut Park Building Project, Wednesday November 19th, time to be determined. SCCLS Library on Wheels will be visiting the Township Hall every 2nd Wednesday starting in December.
