NOTICE Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:49-2(a) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Council of the Township of Bridgewater in the County of Somerset at a meeting held on November 6, 2025, introduced and passed on first reading an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 216 (WRECKER ROSTER), SECTION 216-7 (ISSUANCE OF LICENSE; DENIAL, SUSPENSION, TERMINATION) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRIDGEWATER TO CREATE A NEW SUSPENSION PROVISION This ordinance amends Bridgewater Township's Wrecker Roster regulations primarily to establish a new, stricter suspension provision for towing operators who have a history of non-compliance. Additionally, the ordinance strengthens the overall application and renewal process by mandating certain provisions, ensuring continuous compliance with safety, operational, and criminal standards required to service the Township. TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said ordinance will be further considered for final passage on December 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. or soon thereafter at a meeting of the Township Council to be held at 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. All persons interested shall be given an opportunity at that time to be heard concerning said ordinance. Any member of the general public may obtain, without cost, a copy of the entire ordinance from the Municipal Clerk at the Bridgewater Township Municipal Building, 100 Commons Way, during normal business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) at any time up to and including the time when the Township Council shall further consider this ordinance for final passage.
