NOTICE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SWATARA, LEBANON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, REPEALING AND REPLACING CHAPTER 22, SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT, OF THE SWATARA TOWNISHIP CODE OF ORDINANCES.
The Swatara Township Supervisors intend to take formal action to adopt an Ordinance repealing and replacing Chapter 22, Subdivision and Land Development (SALDO), of the Swatara Township Code of Ordinances at the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Swatara Twp. Bldg. 68 Supervisors Dr. Jonestown, PA 17038.
A summary of the changes includes repealing the existing SALDO outlined in Chapter 22, of the Swatara Township Code of Ordinances and establishing new criteria for approval of SALDO plans. The proposed SALDO Ordinance provides; 1) A purpose and authority; 2) Definitions; 3) Procedures for pre-application, preliminary and final approval for minor and major subdivision and land development plans; 4) Required information for plans and plats; 5) Required improvements and design standards; 6) Regulations for planned residential developments; 7) Floodplain Management; and 7) Administration fee and penalties. The Ordinance also provides for severability and repealer and an effective date within five (5) days following enactment.
