NOTICE

NOTICE AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SWATARA, LEBANON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE SWATARA TOWNSHIP ZONING MAP TO MODIFY THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN COMMERICALLY ZONED PROPERTY TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (R-2) ZONING DISTRICT BASED ON USE AND CHARACTER OF SURROUNDING PROPERTIES. The Swatara Township Supervisors intend to take formal action to adopt the proposed Amendments to the Zoning Map at the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Swatara Twp. Bldg. 68 Supervisors Dr. Jonestown, PA 17038. A summary of the changes include the modification of the Swatara Township Official Zoning Map to delete 257 E. Chestnut Street, Jonestown, PA 17038, Tax Identification Number 32-2323944-396618-0000 and NS Old Route 22, Jonestown, PA 17038, Tax Identification Number 32-2324138-396505-0000 from the Commercial District and add to the Medium Density Residential (R-2) District. The Ordinance also provides for severability and repealer and an effective date within five (5) days following enactment.
