NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Beech Grove, Indiana ("Owner") will receive sealed bids regarding an Arlington Avenue and Hanna Ave construction project at Beech Grove City Hall, 806 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107 until 4:00 p.m. (local time) on November 3, 2025. No late bids will be accepted. Bid Proposals received by the allotted time will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Beech Grove Board of Public Works and Safety meeting held on November 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. (local time) in the Beech Grove City Hall Chamber.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This work shall include, but is not limited to, milling of existing pavement, full-depth pavement replacement with asphalt, drainage structure improvements, driveway improvements, and providing thermoplastic pavement markings as specified.
BEGIN DATE AND COMPLETION DATE: Work requiring road closure shall begin no earlier than April 1, 2026 and be substantially completed no later than May 22, 2026.
BID PACKAGE: A Bid Package consists of one set of Construction Plans and one set of Contract Documents. Copies of the Bid Package may be obtained by emailing Connor Bennett of CrossRoad Engineers, P.C. at cbennett@crossroadengineering.com.
BID GUARANTY: Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Beech Grove or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana.
If the Bidder is awarded the Contract, a Performance, Labor and Material Bond shall be required in an amount not less than one hundred percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana.
PREBID MEETING: The City of Beech Grove will hold a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for the referenced project on October 27th at 9:00 am, at Beech Grove City Hall 2nd floor Council Chambers at 806 Main Street, Beech Grove, Indiana 46107.
BID PROPOSALS: Bid Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the forms provided, including State Form 52414 (Form 96), revised 2013 or later.
Contractors and Sub-Contractors are required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program.
Contractors and Sub-Contractors shall be INDOT prequalified.
No Bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of 60 days following the date set for opening bids. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Board of Public Works and Safety further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to any Bidder to the advantage of the City of Beech Grove, or to reject all bids.
