NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by the Waymart Borough Council until 12:00 P.M. on Monday July 13, 2026, at the Waymart Borough Building, PO BOX 280, South Street, Waymart, PA 18472 for the following work: 2026 Road Project Bid: 1. Furnish and Install 22 Tons of 9.5mm for Pot Hole Patching 2. 10,000 LF Bituminous Crack Sealing 3. 1 PennDOT Approved Precast Concrete Catch basin 4. Reset 2 catch Basin 5. 885 SY of 4"Depth Base Repair 6. 1,732 Tons of 9.5 Wearing Course in-place 7. 624 LF of grading/shaping ditch work All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 – Specifications, and bidders must be PennDOT pre-qualified for Work Class "F" Bituminous paving. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Borough. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information may be obtained by contacting the Waymart Borough Secretary by phone at 570-488-5225, or by thewaymartborough@gmail.com. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Waymart Borough. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The bids will be presented to the Waymart Borough Council at the scheduled regular meeting on Tuesday July 14, 2026, at approximately 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at which time they will be considered, and the contract may be awarded. Waymart Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough. All work must be completed by October 31, 2026; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $875 per day for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete.
