NOTICE TO BIDDERS - WOODFIELD CROSSING SITE DEMO & PREP
Notice is hereby given that Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County ("Owner") will receive sealed bids for the Woodfield Crossing – Site Demolition and Preparation project (Project No. ENM-26-004) located in the City of Mishawaka, St. Joseph County, Indiana. The project site is the former Oak Grove Park trailer park, generally bounded by E. McKinley Avenue (US-20) to the north, N. Byrkit Avenue to the east, and E. LaSalle Avenue to the south.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Base Bid work consists of demolition and site preparation of the existing trailer park, including: demolition of fifty-four (54) trailer structures, foundations, and pads; selective tree clearing and grubbing; removal of all above-ground utilities; abandonment and flowable fill of the existing sanitary sewer system; removal of existing pavement, hardscape, and site improvements; topsoil stripping and stockpiling; erosion and sediment control; maintenance of traffic; and site restoration. Alternate A provides for removal of all underground utilities.
BID SUBMITTAL
Sealed bids will be received until 12:00 p.m. (local time) on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the offices of Abonmarche Consultants, Inc., 315 W. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601, Attention: Robert Nichols, Construction Services Director. Bid proposals shall be addressed to Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County, 524 E. McKinley Avenue, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Bids received after that time will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Owner.

The plans and specifications, including the Invitation for Bids, Bid Proposal Form (Exhibit A), and the Removals Plan (Sheet 6, Abonmarche Project No. 25-1699, dated April 14, 2026), are listed on the Abonmarche online Planroom at abonmarche.com. INSURANCE AND BONDS
The selected Contractor shall furnish a Certificate of Insurance meeting the requirements set forth in the Invitation for Bids, naming the Owner and Abonmarche Consultants, Inc. as additional insureds. Performance and Payment bonds are not required for this project.
OTHER CONDITIONS
Each bid shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the bid due date. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to award the contract in a manner most responsive to the Owner's interest.
