NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CHERRY VALLEY STREETS & WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS 2026 Proposals are now being accepted for the Cherry Valley Streets & Watermain Improvements project. Project includes Old Orchard Subdivision, Genoa Street, E. State Street, and S. Ulster Street. Scope includes HMA Surface removal, HMA full depth removal, HMA placement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, inlet adjustment, thermoplastic and paint pavement marking, street brick paver revitalization, watermain installation, and restoration. Each proposal must be accompanied by the Contractor's Certificate of Eligibility, a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond, payable to the Village of Cherry Valley for the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. The Contractor's Prequalification Categories must be relevant to the majority of work to be performed. All bidders shall note the following: (1) construction monies will be drawn from local funds on hand: (2) the successful contractor will be paid on a monthly basis according to the approved estimate of completed work: (3) the Village strongly urges all contractors to employ the use of local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible for this contract. Labor rates shall be in accordance with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the Village of Cherry Valley, Winnebago County, Illinois, and which are on file in the Office of the Department of Labor, Springfield, Illinois. Such rates shall be paid for all laborers, workman, or tradesman performing work under this contract. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids on each proposal, and to waive any information there in or to accept any proposal considered in the best interest of the Village. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without written consent of the Village of Cherry Valley for a period of forty five (45) days after the scheduled time of closing of bids. Bids shall be received at the office of Village Clerk, Village of Cherry Valley, 806 E. State Street until 10:00 A.M. on March 13, 2026 at which point they will be opened and read aloud.
