NOTICE TO NONSURRENDERING PARENT STATE OF MICHIGAN ALLEGAN COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT – FAMILY DIVISION NOTICE TO NONSURRENDERING PARENT Take notice that on April 3, 2026, a newborn baby, born April 3, 2026, was surrendered at Battle Creek Bronson Hospital, in Battle Creek, Michigan, in Calhoun County, under Michigan's Safe Delivery of Newborns Law, MCL 712.1 et seq. As the nonsurrendering parent of this child, you have the right to file a petition for custody of the child. You must file this petition within 28 days after the date of this notice with the Allegan County Circuit Court – Adoption Division, located at 113 Chestnut St., Allegan, MI 49101 After the 28 days, there will be a hearing to terminate your rights. There will be a public notice of this hearing; however, the notice will not contain your name. You will not receive a personal notice of the hearing.
