NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS
The Altoona Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025 at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Altoona City Hall, 900 Venbury Drive, Altoona, Iowa.
The purpose of said hearing is to consider a request for a variance from Shawn Wolfe for the lot at the address 1708 Pinewood Court SW, Altoona, Iowa. The property is zoned R-5 (Planned Unit Development), per the development plan, this property is required to have a 30' front-yard setback. The applicant is requesting a 21-foot front-yard setback variance to allow a fence to be constructed 9' from the front lot line. The lot is legally described as follows:
Lot 18 of Venbury Plat 16, included in and forming a part of the City of Altoona.
The Board of Adjustment of Altoona, Iowa, may by special permit, after holding a Public Hearing, authorize the permit needed to allow such use.
