NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS
The Altoona Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Altoona City Hall, 900 Venbury Drive, Altoona, Iowa.
The purpose of said hearing is to consider a request for a conditional use permit from DR Horton – Iowa LLC for property located at 3513 10th Avenue SW in Altoona. The property is zoned R-5 (Planned Unit Development). The applicant is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a model home. Chapter 168.06 allows for model homes in the R-5 zoning district subject to approval of a conditional use permit. The property in question is legally described as:
LOT 22 BROOK RIDGE PLAT 3
The Board of Adjustment of Altoona, Iowa, may by special permit, after holding a Public Hearing, authorize the permit needed to allow such use.
