NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS The Altoona Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Altoona City Hall, 900 Venbury Drive, Altoona, Iowa. The purpose of said hearing is to consider a request for a variance from Robert Cross for his property located at 252 Cottonwood Drive SW, the property is zoned R-5 (Planned Unit Development). The applicant is requesting a 16' rear yard setback variance to allow for the construction of an attached covered deck. The property is legally described as: Lot 30 in Venbury Plat 12 an Official Plat, in Altoona, Iowa The Board of Adjustment of Altoona, Iowa, may by special permit, after holding a Public Hearing, authorize the permit needed to allow such use.
