Nevada Community School District Board of Directors Minutes of Regular Meeting Monday June 15, 2026 Gates Conference Room Present: Board Members: Marty Chitty, Tom Maier, Leanne Harter, Emily Schaack, Tori Carsrud, Staff: Dr Steve Gray, Tammy Ellis, 1.Call to Order at 6:30 p.m. 2. Approval of the Agenda – Motion by Maier, seconded by Schaack to approve the agenda with additions. Motion carried 5-0 3.Public Comment –None 4.Information – N/A 5. Action Agenda 5.1 – EMC Insurance Renewal – Melissa Johnson with Midwest Insurance Companies presented the 2026-27 General Liability and Work Comp insurance renewal. Motion by Carsrud, seconded by Harter to approve the 2026-27 insurance renewal as presented. Motion carried 5-0 5.2 – FY25 Audit Review – Business Manager review the FY25 Audit that was completed by Bohnsack & Frommelt Motion by Carsrud, seconded by Harter to approve the FY25 Audit review. Motion carried 5-0 5.3 Interfund Loan – NCRC – Motion by Carsrud, seconded by Schaack to approve the interfund loan resolution from the general fund to the child care fund. Motion carried 5-0 5.4 Board Policy (New) – 401.15R1 – Social Media Guidelines – First Reading – Dr Gray presented the new policy 401.15R1. Motion by Carsrud, seconded by Harter to approve the first reading of the Social Media Guidelines Policy. Motion carried 5-0 5.5 Board Calendar 2026-27 – Dr Gray presented the 2026-27 board calendar. Motion by Schaack, seconded by Maier to approve the 2026-27 board calendar as presented. Motion carried 5-0 5.6 Board Goals 2026-27 – Dr Gray presented the 2026-27 board goals noting a couple changes that were discussed during the 2025-26 board retreat. Motion by Harter, seconded by Maier to approve the 2026-27 board goals as presented.
