Take Notice that an application for a Freshwater Wetland General Permit No. 2 has been submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Division of Land Resource Protection for the underground utility line work described below:

MUNICIPALITY: Borough of Closter
COUNTY: Bergen
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work that is the subject of this NJDEP permit application includes the installation of an underground electric distribution line and associated pull boxes along portions of Blanch Avenue, Herbert Avenue and Homans Avenue in the Borough of Closter, Bergen County, New Jersey. The proposed activities require a total of approximately 1,078 square feet (0.04 acres) of temporary disturbance within wetland transition area. As such, a General Permit No. 2 (Underground Utility Lines) is required pursuant to the Freshwater Wetlands Protection Act Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:7A).
A complete copy of the application package is available to be reviewed at either the municipal clerk's office in the Borough of Closter, or by appointment at the Department's Trenton Office. The Department of Environmental Protection welcomes comments and any information that you may provide concerning the proposed development and site.
