Notice Pursuant to Public Health Law Section 3008
A public hearing has been scheduled by the Westchester Regional EMS Council (REMSCO) for the purpose of technical review, objective evaluation, and public need fact finding regarding:
The Town of Pelham is requesting conversion of the current Municipal Certificate of Need (CON) to a traditional Certificate of Need.
The application is available for review by appointment at the REMSCO office. To arrange an appointment contact the REMSCO at: (914) 231-1616.
"Public need" is defined by the REMSCO as: "the demonstrated absence, reduced availability or inadequate level of care in ambulance or emergency medical service available to a geographical area that is not readily correctable through the reallocation or improvement of existing resources."
