NOTICE OF ADOPTION
Lena Bidonne is notified that petitions for adoption of children named Alaina Rae Bidonne and Alanna Rae Bidonne (the children), born to Lena Bidonne on June 8, 2017, were filed in the office of the clerk of Hamilton County Superior Court, 1 North 8th Street, Noblesville, Indiana 46060 and 317-776-9600.
The petitions for adoption allege that the consent to adoption of Lena Bidonne is not required because she abandoned or deserted the children for at least six (6) months immediately preceding the filing of the petitions for adoption, has failed without justifiable cause to communicate significantly with the children when able to do so for a period of at least one (1) year while the children have been in the custody of another person, has knowingly failed to provide for the care and support of the children when able to do so as required by law or judicial decree for a period of at least one (1) year while the children have been in the custody of another person, and/or is unfit to be a parent and it is in the children's best interests to dispense with her consent.
If Lena Bidonne seeks to contest the adoptions of the children, Lena Bidonne must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with IC 31-19-10-1 in the above named court not later than fifteen (15) days after the date of service of this notice.
If Lena Bidonne does not file a motion to contest the adoptions within fifteen (15) days after service of this notice, the above-named court will hear and determine the petitions for adoption. The consent to adoption of Lena Bidonne will be irrevocably implied, and Lena Bidonne will lose the right to contest either the adoption or the validity of Lena Bidonne's implied consent to the adoption.
No statement made to Lena Bidonne relieves Lena Bidonne of the obligations under this notice.
This notice complies with IC 31-19-4.5-3 but does not exhaustively set forth a person's legal obligations under the Indiana adoption statutes. A person being served with this notice should consult the Indiana adoption statutes.
