Notice of Annual Election
NOTICE OF ANNUAL ELECTION
NYACK JOINT FIRE DISTRICT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Nyack Joint Fire District will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., at the Nyack Joint Fire District, 13-15 Park Street, Nyack, NY 10960. The vote will be for the purpose of the election of a Fire District Officer.
The Fire District Officer to be elected at said annual Election shall be the following: One (l) Fire District Commissioner, who shall have a respective term of Five (5) years, commencing January l, 2026 until December 31, 2030.
To vote in the 2025 Annual Election on Election Day, a person must [1] be registered to vote with the Rockland County Board of Elections on or before November 17, 2025, and [2] be a resident in the Nyack Joint Fire District at least thirty (30) days prior to said election.
All candidates desiring to have his or her name appear on the ballot for the above Office must appropriately file a written request, specifying their name and the Office by term expiration date for which the name should appear, by mail with the Secretary of the Fire District at Post Office Box 732, Nyack, NY 10960 and/or via email to district.secretary@nyackfire.org, or otherwise proceed pursuant to law no later than November 19, 2025.
Filing deadline for the 2025 Fire Commissioner Election is November 19, 2025.
The polls to vote in said Election will be open for receipt of ballots at the aforesaid time and place mentioned above and shall be closed at said polling place at 9:00 p.m. in the evening of December 9, 2025.
