Notice of Data Event
Farmington Hills, MI – Judson Center ("Judson") is notifying individuals who may have been impacted by a data event. Judson recently identified unusual activity on its network. In response, Judson quickly took steps to secure its systems and began working with third-party specialists to investigate and determine the full nature and scope of the activity. On August 20, 2025, the investigation determined that certain files and folders were copied and/or downloaded by an unknown actor between August 9, 2025, and August 10, 2025. Therefore, Judson conducted a comprehensive review of the relevant files and folders to determine the full nature and scope of the information at risk. On October 13, 2025, Judson completed their review and began taking steps to notify individuals.
The type of information potentially impacted varies by individual but may include name and one or more of the following: address, date of birth, Social Security number, taxpayer identification number, drivers' license and/or state identification number, financial account number, payment card number/information, mental or physical condition, treatment/diagnosis information, dates of service, provider name, procedure type, medical record number, patient account and/or identification number, Medicare and/or Medicaid identification number, health insurance information, and/or cost information.
In response to the event, Judson took steps to ensure the security of the data stored on its systems, conducted a comprehensive investigation with the assistance of cybersecurity specialists, remediated the event and implemented additional security measures to help mitigate the reoccurrence of future events, and provided notification to all potentially impacted individuals. Judson is also taking steps to further enhance its cybersecurity posture by reviewing and implementing, as needed, additional policies and procedures.
Individuals are encouraged to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by monitoring credit reports, account statements, and explanation of benefits forms to detect errors or suspicious activity. Individuals may also place a fraud alert or credit freeze by contacting the credit reporting agencies: TransUnion 1-800-680-7289; Experian 1-888-397-3742; Equifax 1-888-298-0045.
