Notice of Election NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION LAKE COUNTRY SCHOOL DISTRICT APRIL 7, 2026 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election is to be held in the School District of Lake Country School, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed. OFFICE Incumbent School Board Vice President Matt Sherman School Board Member At-Large Seat Heather Wooten The term for a school board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 27, 2026 and expiring on Sunday, April 22, 2029. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the district's website. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy and Nomination papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the district office at the address listed below. The first day to circulate Nomination papers is December 1, 2025 and the final day for filing Nomination papers is by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note the filing office will be closed November 24th-28th, 2025 and December 22, 2025-January 2, 2026.
