On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the Fayetteville Zoning Commission will hold a meeting to consider the following items. The hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Lafayette Room at City Hall, 433 Hay Street.
EVIDENTIARY HEARING:
A26-03. A request for a variance from the minimum yard/setback requirements for fences/walls to allow installation of a 6-foot ornamental perimeter security fence with brick columns approximately 5-7 feet within the required setback (remaining about 22 feet behind the right-of-way line) at 3200 Cliffdale Road (REID #0417775939000), by Fayetteville Academy (through agent Smelcer Contractors, Inc.).
LEGISLATIVE HEARINGS:
P26-01. A request to rezone property at 600 Hope Mills Road (REID #0416184349000), consisting of 3.72 acres, from Office and Institutional (OI) to Limited Commercial (LC), owned by Lafayette Land Corporation.
P26-02. A request to amend the MR-5/CZ conditional zoning conditions for property located at 0 Mount Rainer Rd and 0 Rock Creek Lane (REID #'s 0439300490000 and 0439302525000), consisting of 17.61 acres and owned by Northridge Towns, LLC, et al. to allow up to 200 multifamily residential units (townhomes and apartments) without restriction on use type available in the MR-5 zoning district.

The most recent information about the meeting and any access changes will be posted at the City Hall, added to the city website COVID-19 updates, and available by calling the Planning Division at 910-433-1612. Any adjustments will be in response to options available due to COVID-19 restriction changes.
