Notice of Intent

Notice of Intent The City of South Bend (215 S Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601) and Saint Joseph County (227 West Jefferson Blvd, Suite 722, South Bend, IN 46601) are submitting a Notice of Intent (NOI) letter to notify the Indiana Department of Environmental Management to comply with the requirements of section 3.7 (A) of the construction stormwater general permit and construction activities associated with a street reconstruction and resurfacing, bridge replacement, and storm sewer replacement. The Colfax Avenue Streetscape project and the Colfax Avenue over St. Joseph River Bridge No. 215 project will convey storm water runoff through existing and proposed storm sewer systems. Runoff from the project site will have a release to the St. Joseph River via subsurface drainage.
