All comments received by April 21, 2026, will be considered in the final determination regarding permit issuance and permit provisions. Permit Application New Hanover County Landfill, 3002 US Highway 421 North, Wilmington, NC., has applied for a renewal of its NPDES wastewater permit (NC0049743) for New Hanover County Landfill WWTP, 5210 US Highway 421 North, Wilmington, New Hanover County. The facility discharges non-hazardous landfill leachate to Northeast Cape Fear River in the Cape Fear River Basin. Some parameters are water quality limited. This discharge may affect future allocations in this portion of the Cape Fear River basin.
