Notice of Intention to Apply to The Local Government Commission for Approval of Bonds NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intention of the County of New Hanover, North Carolina (the "County") to file an application with the Local Government Commission of North Carolina (the "Commission") for its approval of the issuance of general obligation bonds of the County which shall be for the following purpose and in the following maximum amount: $320,525,000 of bonds to provide funds to pay the capital costs of constructing, improving, and renovating school facilities, including, but not limited to, the construction and renovation of classroom facilities, the acquisition and installation of furnishings and equipment, the acquisition of land, rights-of-way and easements in land required therefor, and related public infrastructure development. Any citizen or taxpayer of the County objecting to the issuance of any or all of said bonds, within seven (7) days after the date of publication of this notice, may file with the Local Government Commission, 3200 Atlantic Avenue, Longleaf Building, Raleigh, NC 27604, Attention: Secretary, and with the Board of Commissioners of the County, a written statement setting forth each objection to the proposed bond issue and such statement shall contain the name and address of the person filing it.
