Notice of Pending Application for Great Lakes Shore Erosion Control
Micaela Bomhack has applied to the Department of Natural Resources for a permit for shore erosion control. The project is located on Lake Michigan in the SW 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 21, Township 08, Range 22 E, Village of Fox Point, Milwaukee County.
The project would be constructed with quarry stone along 206 linear feet of Lake Michigan shoreline with a slope planned to be 1.75H:1V. The project materials would be transported via barge, and an excavator will place material from dry ground. Sand moved to key in the toe stone will be stockpiled above the water line and no material is to be placed in the water. The revetment will be constructed with 12 inches of bedding stone, geotextile fabric, and medium and large quarried limestone.
The Department will review the proposal provided by the applicant and any information from public comments and the public informational hearing. The Department will determine whether the proposal complies with ss. 1.11, 30.12 and s. 30.208, Wis. Stats., and ch. NR 150, Wis. Adm. Code.
The Department has made a tentative determination that it will issue the permit for the proposed activity.

Comments must be submitted or postmarked no later than 30 days after 4/8/2026.
If you would like to request a public informational hearing, the request must be submitted or postmarked within 20 days after 4/8/2026. A request for hearing must include the docket number or applicant name and specify the issues that the party desires to be addressed at the informational hearing. If no hearing is requested, the Department will issue its decision without a hearing. If a hearing is held, comments must be submitted or postmarked no later than 10 days following the hearing date.
